Level 1 First Aid and CPR
This certified training is a once off class of 5 hours.
Whilst a minimum legal require in the workplace, this training is also great to have for your childcare staff at home. It is comforting to know that your staff can perform CPR and first aid in the event of an accident.
Our main aim is to teach and equip your staff to understand the basic principles of handling an emergency situation.
This includes: How to assess an emergency situation, how to contact emergency services as soon as possible, and what to do whilst waiting for emergency services by performing basic lifesaving skills such as CPR and first aid
We would send a trainer directly to your office to conduct the training on your premises.
Training outline:
- Understanding the laws of first aid, and the principles of emergency care
- Demonstrate an understanding of emergency scene management
- Treat wounds and arrest bleeding
- Know which first aid to use for different injuries
- Usage of the correct equipment and safety precautions when administering first aid
- Understanding potential hazards in the workplace or home environments
- Knowing how to preform cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR)

Training is practically practiced by each trainee, and each trainee is assessed to ensure they are fully capable to perform the first aid and CPR as needed.
This training is tailored to suit the specific environment of the trainees. For example, if we are training a nanny, we will focus more on child-based injuries and child CPR, whereas if we are training an office worker, we will focus more on office-based accidents and adult CPR.
This includes:
- One on one training in your home or office by a licensed professional instructor
- A Level 1 First Aid certificate which is government certified for each trainee, emailed through to you about 2 weeks later
- A Basic CPR certificate which is government certified for each trainee, emailed through to you about 2 weeks later
- A manual covering the basics covered in the training
Cost for the training is as follows:
1 trainee R2,390
2 trainees R3,940 (R1,970 per person)
3 trainees R5,280 (R1,760 per person)
4 trainees R6,280 (R1,570 per person)
5 trainees R7,350 (R1,470 per person)
